North Avoca is a suburb on the Central Coast of New South Wales, Australia. It is located between Avoca Beach and Terrigal and is part of the Central Coast Council local government area.
North Avoca is a popular tourist destination, with its long, sandy beach and picturesque views of the Tasman Sea. The suburb is also home to several cafes, restaurants, and shops.
The beach is patrolled by the North Avoca Surf Life Saving Club, which was established in 1955. The club has a rich competition and community involvement history and has produced several champion surfers. History
The Awabakal people inhabited the area before European settlers arrived in the 19th century. The area developed after the 1950s when old farms and orchards along the beach were bought up and subdivided. Today, North Avoca has a population of around 2,200 people, according to the 2016 census.
